In the ever-growing virtual world of Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, the company has not only become the most popular social media platform globally, but it has also grown in value for entrepreneurs. Why? The opportunity to use Facebook as a platform to market their business and boost their social media web presence is the reason behind this. These days, using Facebook as a marketing platform is crucial to the success of new businesses, so you might want to learn how to create and maintain your own Facebook profile. Here are some guidelines and actions to take:
1. Establish Your Page
Click “Create Page” in the top right corner after visiting Facebook.com/pages. An additional screen will appear after clicking, asking if it is a local business or location, company, organization or institution, brand or product, public figure or band, entertainment, cause, or community.
2. Complete the Information
After choosing a category, complete the following details, making sure to check the “I Agree to Facebook Page Terms” box before clicking “Get Started”.
3. Include a Picture
Add a photo to your page that best represents your company’s brand. Make sure the uploaded file doesn’t exceed 4 MB, regardless of whether it’s a header, logo, or picture of a location or person.
4. Encourage Friends to Visit Your Page
Encourage your own friends to “Like” your new page to get some “Likes” on it. To ask friends to “Like” your page, type their names, drag the cursor over “invited,” and click “Selected.” When you’re ready, click “Send Recommendations.”
5. Bring in Contacts
Select “Import Contacts” to ask your email provider’s contacts to “Like” the page. You can access your contact list by uploading a file or by inputting your own email login credentials.
6. Get Content Started
After completing the previous stages and gaining a small following, start posting “Status Updates” to inform people about the projects your company is working on or anything in particular that piques their interest. Click “Link” and copy and paste the desired URL to include links or other online articles in your post. Select “Attach” and then “Share” when you’re ready to go. Rather than incoporating it within the content of your post, this gives it a much cleaner appearance.
7. Obtain a Unique URL
You can reserve a unique URL title for your Facebook page after it has moer than 25 fans. Navigate to the “Username” Page, choose the desired page name from the drop-down menu, and enter it. Once “Check Availability” is selected, a message will inquire, “Are you sure you want to set [URL] as [Facebook Page]’s the username?” Click “Confirm” to choose that URL, but note that once you confirm it, it cannot be changed.
8. Make Use of the Available Tools
Analyze the performance of your online presence using tools like Facebook Insights to determine what is and is not working. These kinds of tools are highly beneficial for taking your business to the next level.
